Kate Valente
MS, LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor
Kate specializes in LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy and has extensive experience creating safe, inclusive spaces for community members to explore their identities and build resilience. She brings both clinical expertise and genuine passion for supporting the LGBTQIA+ community through their mental health journeys. Kate believes in the power of community healing and uses evidence-based approaches while honoring each person's unique experience and cultural background.
What to Expect
Welcome & Connection Start with a warm welcome, introductions, and a brief check-in to create a safe, comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Guided Discussion Engage in facilitated conversations about topics relevant to LGBTQIA+ experiences, mental health, and community support. Creative Expression Participate in art activities designed to facilitate self-expression and provide alternative ways to process and share experiences. Community & Closure Share snacks, continue conversations, and end with a meaningful group closure that honors everyone's participation.
