You're Not Lazy, You're Depleted

A Manifesto for the Caring but Exhausted

You're not lazy. You're not unmotivated. You're not apathetic. You're depleted.

There's a difference between laziness and depletion that our culture refuses to acknowledge. You've been caring deeply in a world that demands you care about everything, all at once, all the time.

Does This Sound Familiar?

✔️ You care deeply about causes, but feel paralyzed when it comes to taking action ✔️ You doom-scroll for hours, feeling worse with each swipe, but can't stop ✔️ You feel guilty for resting, but too exhausted to do the things you say matter This isn't a character flaw. This is adaptive survival mode.

What You Actually Need

Not more motivation. Not more discipline. ✔️ Nervous system regulation so your body can shift out of freeze mode ✔️ Compassionate boundaries around media, relationships, and expectations ✔️ Permission to be human with limited capacity in an overwhelming world
